ALPANA

| The Pruidze Familyโ€™s Ancestral Wine Cellar |

The ancestral wine cellar of the Pruidze family is located in the village of Alpana in Lechkhumi. The winery owns its own vineyards, where Tsolikouri grapes are grown to produce white, dry wine in the European style. Alpana is a part of the Tvishi and Khvanchkara microzones, which are particularly well-suited for cultivating top-quality Tsolikouri.

The Pruidze familyโ€™s ancestral cellar is a small, family-run winery, inspired by their love for their village and heritage, reflecting a commitment to restoring the vineyards of their forefathers.

The Lechkhumi region, with its ideal soil and climatic conditions, is perfect for producing high-mineral and high-acidity wines. Alpanaโ€™s dry Tsolikouri exemplifies this, offering a vibrant, crisp character with pronounced acidity and a lingering, lively finish.

Temur Pruidze Winery Director and Winemaker
Avtandil Pruidze Technologist
Gvantsa Pruidze Representative of the Pruidze Familyโ€™s Ancestral Wine Cellar

The winery is owned by Mukhran and Temur Pruidze, who have dedicated significant effort to renovating and cultivating the vineyards and building the winery in Alpana. Following positive evaluations of their wine, they plan to introduce it first throughout Georgia and then to the global market.

The wineryโ€™s logo showcases a stagโ€™s head made from vine leaf shapes, with two figures holding wine glasses on its antlers and a sun disc in the center. The stag, also present on the Pruidze family coat of arms, symbolizes freedom, while the sun disc represents peace and kindness.

The vineyards of the Pruidze familyโ€™s ancestral wine cellar are situated on the slopes of a mountain, topped by the familyโ€™s shrine, St. George of Shkhudali. The vineyardโ€™s slope and calcareous soil contribute to the unique qualities of their wine.
